Meet the Doctors
 

Cary Tanamachi, MD, PA

Born in Harlingen, Texas in 1946, Cary Tanamachi, MD, has served the Mesquite and surrounding area as a general orthopedic surgeon for more than 23 years.

His practice includes acute and chronic orthopedic care, sports medicine and arthroscopy, joint replacements and reconstruction.

Dr. Tanamachi is certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and has been since 1978. He earned his medical degree from the University Medical School at San Antonio. He completed an internship at Baylor University in Dallas and his residency at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

He also completed a fellowship at Kontonspital Hospital in Basel, Switzerland.

Dr. Tanamachi is active in the community, serving as school board trustee for the Mesquite Independent School District for the last 14 years.

Dr. Tanamachi is assisted in surgery and in the office by Bob Schexnayder, surgical technician.

     
 

Terry Sobey, MD, PA

Born in Austin, Texas in 1953, Dr. Terry Sobey has served the Mesquite and surrounding area as a general orthopedic specialist and surgeon for more than 17 years. His practice includes acute and chronic orthopedic care, sports medicine and arthroscopy, joint replacement and reconstruction.

Dr. Sobey has been certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons since 1985. Dr. Sobey earned his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School and interned at Parkland Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency at the University of Texas affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Sobey is assisted in surgery and in the office by Lyle Duyck, surgical technician.
